The Cowra Shire is a local government area in the Central West region of New South Wales, Australia. The Shire is located adjacent to the Lachlan River, the Mid-Western Highway and the Lachlan Way. The largest town and council seat is Cowra.
Cowra Shire Council needed to replace an aged and non-compliant tank for refuelling a variety of machine types located at multiple job sites throughout the shire. The tank needed to be suitable and accredited for transportation, able to be lifted on and off the truck using a 3.5T forklift as well as being suitable for the retro-fitting of a Fuel Management System and solar panel power kit.
The Council approached Fuelchief due to their comprehensive range of transportable tanks as well as a handy Central NSW location making after-sales support easily accessible.
After initial discussions with the client Fuelchief offered a 30TCGCAB with 12V Piusi Bi Pump, 10 Metre retractable hose reel and auto nozzle. This solution was provided for the Cowra Shire Council as this transportable 30TCGCAB TranCube is specially designed and accredited to make transport safe and easy. The maximum weight when laden met the sites lifting ability and the 10 metre hose reel provided gives flexible access to the vehicles being refuelled. The council were able to securely store their fuel management system within the tank cabinet while mounting their solar kit on the tank roof. Check out the image below of the solar panel in place.
