Broadgate Harvesting was started by Matthew Reed in 2004 on his family’s property that had been farmed for 5 generations. Matthew started with one combine harvester and has now built the business up and is now running 4 actual flow combines, covering 4000 acres per season for their customers.
Southfuels client, Matthew Reed of Broadgate Harvesting, had purchased an additional Combine Harvester which would increase the company fuel consumption during the peak harvest season. Matthew was looking for a reliable and secure system that would give him the peace of mind knowing he had fuel onsite when he needed it. He said, “When I don’t have fuel I talk dollars per minute; to be down on one or two machines just for one day, the cost is in the thousands of dollars.”
Matthew already had one Sebco 4,800L tank onsite which had worked trouble-free since 2011 so it made sense to go for a second Sebco tank.
Matthew wanted another 4,800L of storage with secure pump control to ensure the fuel could only be accessed by him and his staff. The Sebco 4,800L tank had the capacity required and with the “Security Plus” package, the Piusi Access 85 provided RFID tag security to start the pump.
In the end Matthew was happy with the service provided and the outcome of the new additional tank.
“It all came together really well, nothing was a problem for Fuelchief or Southfuels. Having the two tanks has taken the stress out of not having enough fuel onsite. I reckon everyone should have one.”
